With more than 20 years of experience as a fully committed environmental activist and social servant, Gabriel of Sedona takes the preservation of his local Sedona, Arizona environment very seriously. When it comes to clean water, preventing unnecessary development, and protecting native wildlife, Gabriel of Sedona lives and breathes activism - and his efforts have not gone unnoticed. With the help of other local activists, Gabriel of Sedona was able to significantly alter plans for a housing development adjoining Upper Red Rock Loop Road in Sedona.
Gabriel of Sedona Makes His Mark On Local Community Through Environmental And Social Initiatives
Upon learning of the proposed 54-acre housing development on Red Rock Loop Road, Gabriel of Sedona was quick to take action. His extensive experience in with environmental and water quality issues allowed him to overcome the obstacles presented by the project developers. In conjunction with the Red Rock Rural Association, the Sierra Club, and many concerned citizens, Gabriel of Sedona was able to reduce the initial development plans from 225 to 109 homes. He also helped convince the developers to be more ecologically-minded when constructing the housing development - a major breakthrough!
In addition to his many environmental efforts, Gabriel of Sedona serves as a social activist, fighting for the rights of the poor and disenfranchised individuals of the world. Gabriel of Sedona has long been involved with the American Civil Liberties Union and the Southern Poverty Law Center. When not participating in local and global activist movements, he enjoys art, music, social service and world peace.
